Loice Remy denies Crystal Palace transfer will happen

Loic Remy has denied he will be making the move across London from Chelsea to Crystal Palace.

Remy says that while interest from Crystal Palace is flattering, his focus lies on getting more time on the pitch with his current club Chelsea.

Remy said: "“I am [flattered by the interest] but I never wanted to leave this club because I feel really good.

“Of course I want to play more but I’m sure I can play more here."

Despite a summer in which he has been linked with a move away, with Palace frequently mentioned (and are many bookmakers' favourites to sign the Frenchman) Remy has spent the summer ensuring he's ready to return to Chelsea's starting line-up.

“That’s my target and I just try to make it happen by working hard and show everybody and the manager that he can count on me. For me, my mind is here and I don’t want to leave at the minute.

“For so many reasons I want to stay – because we won two trophies last season and because I’m sure that we’re going to win more, so for me it is really exciting.

“I want to be a part of this project and there is no reason for me to leave now."

It looks like Palace will need to find another attacking option - although they are also the bookies' favourites to sign Remy's Chelsea team-mate Patrick Bamford.
